I love stats.
I can get lost in stats. For that reason, I love Google analytics. If you have a website, it’s a must for you to install. Here are some things I picked up about The Collective from Google analytics.
- Of The Collective’s overall pageviews over 50% came from the last 3 months, which means less than 50% were from the previous 5 months (The Collective officially kicked off in April).
- Month over month growth continued in November, but at a smaller percentage (in this case less than 1%).
Now here is where it gets really exciting for me. You (the reader) like what The Collective is offering. How do I know?
- You’re sharing. Over 13% of total visits came from NEW visitors from Facebook (both mobile and normal).
- You’re staying. The Collective’s bounce rate is less than 3% which means when you come, you stay and read further articles/pages.
- You’re reading. Not only are you staying for 1 extra page, but 78% are staying for even more pages. The average visitor reads 3+ articles (or visits 3+ pages).
What I am most sure of is what you think and say matters as much or more as what I say and think. 5 of the top posts this month are from guest writers or share information/images from outside sources (not me).
